This weekend, Enfield Brass won its first C Grade championship since back-to-back wins in 2008 and 2009. The band also continues to uphold its reputation as top marching band.

As always, we had a number of soloists:
Andrew Dight – Open Novice
Ashleigh Ellis – Open Novice (third place)
Chloe Higgins – Open High Tuba (second place)
Colin Smith – Open Soprano (second place)
And, for the first time in many years, we had a quintet! Bronwen Murphy (cornet), Ashleigh Ellis (horn), Shayne Tarling (trombone), Sian Murphy (euphonium) and Chloe Higgins (tuba) played Ashleigh’s own arrangement of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” and came third in the Open Brass Quintet.
