Awards Night 2012

Another year is done and dusted for Enfield Brass – and what a year it was! Between our first interstate trip since 1985 and moving into a brand new, purpose-built facility, it’s hard to decide what the most exciting part of 2012 was, but we’re pleased to report that it’s just the beginning of a new era for the band. In just a few weeks time, we will be launching the Klemzig Youth Band! But more on that later, for now is the time to acknowledge our award winners for 2012…

The award for most improved this year went to Ashleigh Ellis, who – after only taking up the tenor horn 18 months ago – has come along in leaps and bounds and even competed at the State Solo Championships back in August. The Ron Arthur Shield for Most Outstanding Bandsperson went to flugelhornist Bronwen Murphy, whose all-round contributions to the band – from playing, to serving on the committee, and everything in between – have been outstanding.

Congratulations to ALL award recipients!
